Guidelines for Submitting Abstracts

Abstract submissions must be Postmarked by July 31, 2009

Abstracts will be considered for presentation during the Poster Session to be held during the Beverage Service on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 9:35 a.m. to
10:25 a.m. Posters are to be fully displayed from the morning beverage service on Friday, November 20 through the afternoon beverage service on Saturday, November 21.

  1. All submitted abstracts must be emailed or sent on a computer disk: 12pt or 12 pitch is preferred. All abstracts will be reproduced as submitted and therefore should be proofed carefully.
  2. Type the title in CAPITAL LETTERS. Underline all author's names. Place an asterisk after the first author's name. Include the first author's department or laboratory, institution, city, state and country. Include institution/organization for ALL listed co-authors.
  3. Type entire abstract single-spaced; no margins at top or sides. No double spacing betwen paragraphs or between title and text. Allow a 3-space indentation for the beginning of each paragraph. Do not exceed the space provided.
  4. The abstract wil lbe reviewed and the first author will be notified about acceptance.
  5. The FIRST Author MUST register and attend the Conference and present the poster!
  6. A completed Poster Presenter/Author Declaration Form MUST be submitted by the First Author and EACH Co-Author with the abstract submission in order to have the abstract considered by the Committee.
  7. An individual can serve as the first author on a maximum of TWO abstracts.
